HOW TO:
STEP 1: GET MY FREE BUNNY BOOKMARKS PRINTABLE
Get the free Bunny Bookmarks Printable (Download Design #007) from my free resource library (get the password to the library in the form at the bottom of this post).
STEP 2: PRINT
Be sure to print all 3 pages onto regular printer or copy machine paper. Here’s what it will look like. There is a gray colored Bunny, a light brown colored bunny and a line drawing that can be colored in with crayons, markers, or colored pencils.

STEP 3: CUT THE PIECES OUT
Have your child cut the rectangular pieces along the outside edges. I’ve already colored this bunny pink, just for the photo!

STEP 4: FOLD THE RECTANGLE AND MATCH THE LINES
I’ve used the grey bunny for the next picture but, since you’re so smart, you probably already know that you’ll do this step for whichever bunny you choose.
Look at the picture below and see that, as you look at the bunny’s back and fold the rectangle, you can see the lines of the bunny’s front through the paper. Match the black outlines of the fronts and backs of the bunny as best you can. It’s made so that it does line up if you match the cut edges but, holding the paper up to the light or against a window will make it easy to see the lines and move them into place so they match exactly.

STEP 5: GLUE THE FOLDED PIECE
Apply glue to the inside of the piece you just folded in Step 4. Close it like a book. Hold it up to the light and check one more time so you can make sure the lines match. Since you’ve already done that once, this time, it should be quite easy.

STEP 6: CUT THE PIECE ALONG THE OUTSIDE EDGE
Carefully cut along the outside edge of the two folded pieces. Again, take your time and relax as you cut. If you have any difficulty cutting, flip the paper to turn the image over so the other side is facing you. Doing that will often make it easier. When you’ve finished, you’ll have one piece with the bunny’s head and arms plus one piece of the bunny’s body and legs. The white curved area at the top of the bunny’s body that looks sort of like an egg is a tab that you’ll use to glue the two pieces together in the next step.

STEP 7: SCORE THE FOLD LINE
Find a tool that is dull and run it back and forth along the line at the bottom of the egg shaped tab as shown in the photo so that it’s easier to fold. I used my closed scissors. You can do the same thing too. If you want to use something else, try the back of a butter knife, a bone folder, the edge of a ruler, a pen that the ink has run out of, or something else that you think will work. Again, take your time.

STEP 8: GLUE HEAD TO BODY
First, hold the Bunny’s body so you can see the Bunny’s tummy. Fold the tab towards the tummy and put some glue on it. Next, make sure you can see the Bunny’s face, pick the piece up and then, set it onto the tab that you just put the glue on. It will fit best if the tab is set onto the back of the Bunny’s shoulder area.
